Affiliate disclosure
Some links on this site can earn us a commission. Here is exactly how that works, and where it never happens.
WheatAndGoats is free to use. To help pay for hosting and data work, some pages include affiliate links: when you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. You never pay more because of it, and prices are not affected.
The Amazon line, verbatim
As an Amazon Associate, WheatAndGoats earns from qualifying purchases.
Partners we use or plan to use
- Bookshop.org, which supports independent bookstores (our default book link)
- Amazon Associates
- Retailers on the CJ Affiliate network, such as Christianbook, DaySpring, and The Catholic Company
- Bible Gateway Plus and FaithGateway on the AWIN network
- Logos Bible Software through the Impact network
- Google AdSense may serve display ads on some pages
Not every partner is active at any given time. A link can be a plain, untracked link to a retailer we simply think is useful.
Where these links appear, and where they never do
Affiliate links and ads appear only on informational pages: tradition pages, church detail pages, local church listings, and insights. The quiz and your results carry no ads and no affiliate links of any kind. Your answers and matches are never influenced by, or shared with, any advertiser or retailer.
Editorial independence
Book recommendations are chosen for accuracy to each tradition, from widely recognized titles, before any affiliate relationship is considered. If a recommendation ever stops being something we would suggest to a friend, it comes down.
The same rule covers the matching itself. Ranking is never for sale. No church can pay to rank higher, appear more often, or look like a better match for you. Money is not an input to the matching at all: your results come from your answers and a church's actual doctrine, and nothing else. If that ever changed, the honest thing would be to say so here, loudly.
No retailer, advertiser, or affiliate partner is any different: none of them can pay to change a church match, a tradition description, or where anything appears in your results. Their links live on informational pages and nowhere near your answers.
